Equipment Technician – Ground Support

Position: Equipment Technician – Ground Support

Location: Abbotsford, BC

Salary: $23.12 - $35.25 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)

Industry: Manufacturing / Aerospace / Maintenance / Industrial

Employment Term: Full Time / Permanent

Roles & Responsibilities

• Ensure all maintenance work tasks are performed in accordance with health and safety policies and procedures.
• Perform all inspections and maintenance needs of GSE according to the schedule
• Complete documentation and other reports of the inspection completed.
• Perform other duties as required.
• Request parts needed to carry out the repairs
• Repair all ground equipments that need repair and remove any units that are defective or unsafe to use

Qualifications & Experience

• Knowledge of different skilled trades work would be an asset
• Post Secondary education in a related field.
• Certification in Automotive Mechanics and/or Welding: Forklift, Boom Lift
• 3-5 years’ experience in automotive maintenance, repair and inspection
• 5+ years of experience with general mechanical work preferably with heavy duty equipments
• Excellent communication skills mandatory – both written and verbal
