About The Opportunity
This position aids in overall patient care by performing clerical functions including but not limited to registration, communications (switchboard) and other health information related duties such as dispositions and generating reports as required. Cross training with Registration and Admitting is required.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
  • Ability and willingness to meet challenges and adapt to changing situations essential
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
  • Demonstrated skill in working collaboratively and effectively with others
  • Maintains high degree of confidentiality at all times is required
  • Related hospital exposure is required
  • Grade 12 or equivalent plus completion of a recognized office procedure/secretarial program, or 1 year previous clerical/administration experience is required
  • An equivalent combination of education and training may be considered for this position
  • Demonstrated skills and experience with Windows and Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook required
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks required
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Terminology program is required

Hours
  • Permanent, Full-time Position; 70 Hours Bi-weekly
  • Shifts include Days, Evenings and Nights, Weekends and Holidays
Compensation and Incentives
$20.09 - $21.90 Hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
