Leader: Sr Leader, Entrepreneurial Growth


As ATB's next Entrepreneur Content Specialist, your words—in ATB's voice—will resonate with and educate entrepreneurs and small businesses as they start, build and grow. Collaborating with the brand team, you will be responsible for drafting and editing content that supports ATB's Entrepreneur Education strategy. You'll research and draft written content, including content briefs, newsletters, articles, educational and course materials, emails, web copy and social media messaging. You'll learn and maintain ATB's brand aesthetics, voice, messaging and positioning for the Entrepreneur Education and Resources team and its partners to help educate and support entrepreneurs in all stages or business across Alberta.


Responsibilities


  • Collaborates with brand and design team to provide creative suggestions for accompanying graphics
  • Drafts, executes, edits and proofreads a wide range of compelling, well-researched and accurate content that adheres to best practices
  • Participates and provides support in the editorial and copywriting processes.
  • Responsible for sourcing/mining ATB resources, drafting and creating content for and scheduling entrepreneur newsletter, as well as analyzing and reporting on key results.
  • Works closely with internal and external brand partners to gather feedback, edit and refine tone/voice for all content prior to publication
  • Expected to execute 5-6 pieces of new content each week, that delivers against a robust and high-volume content roadmap over the next six months
  • Ensures communication across all channels remains consistent, relevant and aligned to the entrepreneur journey and ATB brand voice and guidelines.
  • Sources, interviews and collaborates with subject matter experts to research, brainstorm ideas, develop messaging and complete writing briefs for given assignments
  • Stays consistently aware of content performance and drives continuous improvement through KPI and data tracking.


Requirements


Accreditations:


  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in marketing, journalism, communications, English or related discipline.


Aptitude


  • Experience with video storyboarding and scripting considered an asset but not required
  • Previous experience creating content for entrepreneur or small business audience considered an asset
  • A very high standard of writing, editing and proofreading skills (candidates may be asked to perform a relevant writing exercise to demonstrate skill set)
  • Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to work on multiple projects and varying deadlines simultaneously
  • Experience with email marketing and social scheduling platforms required (Hubspot, Wordpress and Happeo experience considered an asset)
  • Experience in or a strong understanding of the financial/banking industry considered an asset
  • Experience in writing SEO informed copy and knowledge of SEO best practices
  • Understanding of nuances between different audiences, both internal and external
  • 3+ years experience in content, inbound or digital marketing or communications with a strong talent for writing
