We are seeking an extraordinary, enthusiastic Electrician to join our Plant Services/Maintenance team in Kelowna BC. Our Winery is in the heart of Kelowna between downtown and Knox Mountain, Calona Winery has the distinction of being British Columbia's original winery. As a pioneer in the BC wine industry, Calona leads the way to higher levels of craftsmanship and professionalism. Calona's wines are award-winning, rivaling the world's most established names to prove the Okanagan Valley is at the international forefront of fine wine production. Reporting into the Maintenance Supervisor as a full time Electrician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting packaging lines and the operation, repair, and maintenance of plant electrical services to optimize performance and reliability of packaging, facilities, and cellars equipment.

We Are Looking For a Teammate With

• Exceptional communication skills and positive attitude
• Excellent organizational skills; self-motivated and the ability to work under minimal supervision and team-oriented approach
• Ability to work evenings, weekends and holiday work required with increased frequency during harvest and ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Understanding of and adherence to HACCP requirements and the GMP policy.
• A focus on Environmental Health & Safety practices; actively supporting and promoting a safety culture.
• A passion for working in a winery manufacturing facility and is interested in learning about wine
• Ability to work in high paced environment; excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
• An Inter-provincial Journeyman's Electrical Ticket with experience in the operation, repair and maintenance of manufacturing plant electrical services. Preference will be given to applicants Class A or B FSR and proficiency in Allen Bradley branded PLCs and VFDs.
• Advanced computer skills in MS Excel and Word, familiarity with Databases, IP networks, and packaging automation is an asset.

This Teammate Will Be Accountable For

• Actively participate in equipment tracking system; optimize line performance.
• Assisting in the planning and construction of Plant projects.
• Trouble shooting packaging lines; the operation, repair and maintenance of plant electrical services including main power panels, sub panels, switch gear, electrical distribution and wiring, Programmable Logic Controllers, Variable Frequency Drives, Servos, HMIs, and any other electrical or electronic equipment pertaining to processing, production and facilities.
• Proactively support Packaging/Maintenance team in responding to time-sensitive line issues.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

This is a unionized position and belongs to the Brewery, Winery and Distillery Workers Local 300. www.brew300.ca Hourly rate: $35.65
