Job Description

Director Information Technology


As a dynamic and strategic people leader, the Director, Information Technology will provide leadership and oversight of all technology efforts. They will ensure continuous growth and execution of business application strategies and projects that enable the company to provide customers with superior service. In addition, the Director, Information Technology will partner with other departments to ensure that the company's IT roadmap is aligned with the company’s vision and business strategies.


What you will do

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that IT solutions are aligned with corporate objectives and projects
  • Provide leadership and direction to the IT team; manage the day-to-day operations. This includes:
  • Infrastructure, Development and Operations Support
  • Develop and manage the IT budget
  • Business Intelligence: Facilitate further development of the data warehouse environment and improve data access and automation throughout the organization
  • Establish an IT governance model that is aligned with the company’s vision and business strategies
  • Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on the status of IT projects and operations
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts
  • Cyber Security: ensure the security and integrity of the company's IT systems and data
  • Partner with external consultants to implement a multi-year IT roadmap to enhance the company's systems and processes including the ERP system
  • Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and developments and make recommendations on their potential impact on the company


Education, Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience with business transformation, change and innovation; leading multi-functional teams who deal with complex system configuration and development
  • Experience in implementing an ERP solution is an asset
  • AS400 system knowledge is an asset
  • Experience with cloud computing, networking, and security
  • Project management skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and other Microsoft products
  • Pharmaceutical, Logistics and/or Retail Distribution background is an asset
  • Experience with IT budgeting and vendor management
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • 10 years+ experience in IT management, with a focus on infrastructure and development
