Role Overview


We are currently seeking energetic and highly motivated individuals to join our team in our Cambridge production facility. If you are a self-driven, detail-oriented individual with a strong work history, high work ethic and you are someone who likes working in a fun & fast-paced environment, then we are looking for you! The Die Cutter Production Machine Operator position supports Kwik Lok production activities through the manufacture of Kwik Lok closures with a focus on continuing improvement of quality, food safety, and manufacturing processes.


Position Responsibilities And Results


General


  • Additional functions as assigned and needed for the good of the organization.
  • Run orders as assigned by Production Management in the proper sequence.
  • Follow all company established food safety and quality guidelines and procedures.
  • Stock and clean assigned work area daily to ensure a clean and safe work environment for teammates on the following shift, and integrity/safety of our finished product.
  • Monitor product and packaging materials to ensure cleanliness of finished product and food safety for our customers.
  • Monitor the production area to ensure all personnel in the area are authorized to be there, report anything suspicious or anyone without a badge. Immediately, ask the person without a proper badge if they are supposed to be in the building and if they have signed in.
  • Ensure the quality of product through constant monitoring, regarding color, thickness of material, and free of any defects.


Die Cutting


  • Follow all company established food safety and quality guidelines and procedures.
  • Monitor product and packaging materials to ensure cleanliness of finished product and food safety for our customers.
  • Ensure the quality of product through constant monitoring, including observation regarding color of material, thickness, Lok series, opening size, reel size and the tightness of the reel.
  • Stock and clean assigned area daily to ensure the efficient operation by the following shift and the integrity/safety of our finished product.
  • Safely operate Die Cutter machine as assigned. Run orders as assigned by Production Management in the proper sequence.
  • Monitor the production area to ensure all personnel in the area are authorized to be there, report anything suspicious or anyone without a badge. Immediately, ask the person without a proper badge if they are supposed to be in the building and if they have signed in.
  • Maintain traceability by tracking roll lot numbers used in production of the finished product. This information must be tracked for every order and written legibly on the job card.


Required Qualifications


  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship
  • Regularly sits, stands, and walks
  • Constantly hearing, seeing, and attention to details
  • Occasionally bends, squats, reaches, and kneels
  • Ability to frequently lift 40 pounds

ALL THE DETAILS…


  • Contribution to RRSP program by the company (after probationary period)
  • Work Environment: Manufacturing facility – noise level 85-95 dB, lifting to 40 lbs., intermittent physical activity
  • Location: Cambridge, Ontario, Canada
  • Salary starts at $18.58/hour for first shift or $19.05/hour for second shift
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription, and Life Insurance plans (after probation period)
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm (1st shift) / Monday – Thursday 3:30pm – 2:00am (2nd shift)
