Job Description

DevOps Engineer
Are you looking to challenge yourself in a role where you are showcasing your DevOps skills while continuously learning new technologies?
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the adoption of DevOps products, processes, and best practices to accelerate the continuous delivery of value to customers and to amplify feedback to increase the quality and performance of eCommerce applications and services.
We practice a remote-first working model, leveraging in-person interactions at our head office, in beautiful Vancouver, BC, for strategic, collaborative, and social purposes.
Join our collaborative team as a DevOps Engineer!
What you will do:
  • Support product teams with environment configuration and deployments while driving adoption
  • Lift the skills and expertise of those around them through one-on-one reviews and championing teach-outs on industry standard practices
  • Maintain and improve functionality and tooling for Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployments (CD) and infrastructure configuration/deployment while guiding best practices within other teams
  • Provide technical leadership and takes initiative in design discussions to drive quality, standards and performance
  • Use best practices and knowledge of issues to improve processes, designs, or platforms
  • Design and prove out new tools and techniques (POCs) while also documenting and supporting team’s usage of these tools
What we are looking for:
  • 3+ years working as a software developer and understanding of microservices
  • Experience working on the Linux Operating System
  • 2+ years working primarily in a role automating environment creation and application deployment
  • Experience with scripting (eg. Bash) and system administration
  • Knowledge of Cloud computing, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory/Nexus, Checkmarx and automation frameworks such as Ansible or Terraform
  • 2+ years working with deployment and orchestration of containerized applications such as OpenShift, Kubernetes and Docker
