Job Overview

We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer, MLOps who has experience developing, productionizing and maintaining native ML and AI applications. The successful candidate will help us define, build, and maintain a machine-learning-as-a-service environment at Bell.

Our mission to enable the field services team to leverage analytics for improving their existing processes and use predictive analytics to increase efficiency and performance. In this role you will have to work across the domains of data engineering, data science and Machine Learning to build highly available, fault – tolerant ML applications that work with enterprise datasets.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multiple product teams to understand business and technical needs
• Implement data manipulation techniques for feature engineering
• Design and develop predictive models for Natural Language Processing projects, Object detection projects and Classification/Regression projects.
• Participate in the design, development, testing and deployment of new ML services in on-prem environments
• Researching and assessing new technology/methodologies
• Participate in capacity and infrastructure planning
• Create and maintain documentation on procedures, standards and best practices

Critical Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong understanding of MLOps concepts and practices. building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, TeamCity) and applying best practices
• Experience with version control such as Git
• 3-5 years of experience with software development in Python/ self taught in Python
• Experience with projects in NLP and comfortable with concepts such as sentence transformers, encoder-decoder models, etc.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to adapt in a fast-evolving environment
• Experience with developing, training and hyper tuning predictive models (pandas,numpy,Tensorflow,Pytorch)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiar with containerization of projects (Docker,Kubernetes)
• Familiar with training Machine Learning models on GPU
• Strong understanding of micro-services architecture
