Adecco is currently seeking a highly motivated individual for a full-time position as a Data and Applications Specialist - Downhole Measurement. In this role, you will be responsible for the support, maintenance, and implementation of downhole measurement data systems at several facilities to meet process data management and production engineering business requirements.   • Oversee the collection of the data and addition of new wells
  • Manage piezo data and observation well data
  • Manage and support data visualization tools for downhole data management (DTS viewer, Cogent, XSPOC, VTSCADA, etc.)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify trends or issues that require attention
  • Previous experience in implementing or supporting DTS (Downhole Measurement) and other downhole measurement data systems for production engineering teams

  • Implement and own a supportable DTS data pipeline and ETL process

  • Serve as a technical interface for Production Engineering teams to support new and existing vendor implementations of downhole measurement systems.
  • Monitor the health of data flows and troubleshoot issues
  • Manage, maintain, and optimize the existing DTS systems

  • Familiarity with cloud solutions and certification, particularly AWS (Amazon Web Services), is an advantage. For example S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, DataSync, Simple Queue Service (SQS), and Simple Notification Service (SNS).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as SQL, Python, Powershell, VBA, Javascript, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with SQLServer 2008+ and SQLServer Services
  • Bachelor's degree or Technologist diploma with specialization in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Drive optimization of the systems to better meet business needs, reduce complexity, lower costs across all areas, drive a common operating environment and provide integration support and coordination for pilot DAS design Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Excellent project and time management skills, including experience in costing and business case development
  • Strong technical skills in optimizing and streamlining complex data systems.
  • Support, maintain, and implement downhole measurement data systems including DTS (Distributed Temperature Sensing), Dynocards, Piezo Data, observation Well Data and DAS (Distributed Acoustic Sensing)
  • Location: Calgary, AB, with some travel required
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Understanding of system network communications and security principles
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
