About The Team


As the newest product line at Cova, the eCommerce team at Cova is working together to help retailers extend their reach and discoverability by customers online using digital marketing and SEO. Cova's POS and eCommerce solution powers a cohesive in-store and online experience to engage with and create long-term relationships with customers for our retailers.


After an acquisition in 2022 and going to market shortly after, the eCommerce Team is growing to meet the demand.


About The Role


As the Product Manager for eCommerce, you will work directly with other product managers, product designers, sales, marketing, and operations to establish a vision and strategy to create a best-in-class online shopping experience for cannabis consumers across North America.


You will also partner closely with the Technical Lead and a global team of engineers to deliver solutions that will have a positive impact on retailers and consumers alike.


Accountabilities:


  • Being an expert on your customer segments, markets and competition to contribute to the evolution of Cova's overall product strategy
  • Collaborate with other product managers and other customer-facing stakeholders on a regular basis to maintain a high-level of alignment broadly across Cova
  • Define and measures of success to track and monitor product performance
  • Apply product principles and practices for discovery, product analysis to understand customer needs to continuously inform your product roadmap
  • Partnering with other departments (e.g. Marketing and Operations) to create go-to-market strategies and plans
  • Interact with cannabis retailers and consumers to gather insights and validate assumptions and advocate for their needs
  • Advocating for and communicating our product vision throughout the company
  • Prioritize ruthlessly to deliver customer value early and often through Cova'a agile product development process


Must-have qualifications:


  • Experience creating and sharing strategic product roadmaps, working with cross-functional teams to connect them to company objectives and customer value
  • You have a natural tendency to challenge the status quo, asking why often and actively listening and diving deep into data and evidence validate assumptions
  • You are committed to continuous improvement in your career and craft
  • Proficiency with tracking and collaboration tools (e.g. JIRA, MS OneDrive, Confluence/Wiki, Aha)
  • 1-3 years of product management experience in eCommerce or other B2B SaaS company
  • You have shipped products by balancing idealism with pragmatism – you've done this and can prove it
