is looking to hire a Controller to work as part of the management team at our main operations in Aberdeen.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Controller leads a small Accounting team. In this critical support role you will be working as an integral part of our management team. Your duties will primarily include:
·Be a key financial leader and a close partner to the Executive team
·Oversee the design and execution of financial accounting and reporting, corporate consolidation, cash management, payables, payroll, credit and collections, fixed assets and leases and the development and implementation of related systems, controls procedures, and policies
·Lead accounting policy and ensure compliance with GAAP and other applicable rules and laws and will report on and review the monthly and annual accounting results with senior management
·Be lead contact with the external auditor regarding the annual audit
·Inform and implement corporate vision and strategy
·set the strategic direction for the development and deployment of financial and reporting processes that ensure compliance with GAAP and mitigate risk in the company
·Direct and oversee all aspects of the accounting and control functions of the organization producing timely and accurate monthly financial statements
This position requires a team member with the following key attributes:
·Experience with QuickBooks
·5+ years’ experience and/or certification in accounting
·Excellent computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word)
·Self-motivated
·Detail oriented
·Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
·Experience with human resource management an asset
- Compensation will be commensurate with experience and training.
This role is a permanent, full-time position working from our office in Aberdeen, SK.
