Summary


Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Engineer Team Leader, the Continuous Improvement Engineer will initiate and drive execution on projects related to standardizing best practices, continually reducing costs and increasing overall efficiencies; all within a fast-paced, high-growth food manufacturing environment.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • As part of the Continuous Improvement Engineering team, work on multiple projects related to operations, including Manufacturing, Sanitation, Quality, and Maintenance
  • Ensure that a safe working environment is maintained at all times
  • Lead training sessions for multiple teams including Production, Sanitation, Quality, and Maintenance
  • Support commissioning activities of new equipment and manufacturing lines
  • Support troubleshooting and driving completion of projects to enable them to be brought to fruition
  • Working with a multidisciplinary team, the Continuous Improvement Engineer will support planning and execution of key continuous improvement projects under the guidance of the Continuous Improvement Engineer Team Leader
  • Create an environment which continues to foster continuous improvement and lean manufacturing
  • Collect and analyze data following a structured methodology (DMAIC) to implement sustainable improvements in all aspects of Operations


About You:


  • Have demonstrated ability to interact with others and is adept at leading and motivating a team
  • Candidates applying must be a recent graduate
  • Must have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Post-secondary education in Engineering with a GPA of 3.5+ out of 4.0
  • Flexible to work different work schedules when needed
  • Naturally curious and strong desire to learn and grow
  • Positive attitude and a results-oriented mindset
  • Bright, driven and clear about your future career goals
  • Work well in and support a team-based environment
  • Possess excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are required
  • Roll up your sleeves mentality with a whatever it takes mindset to get the job done
  • Ability to learn fast, ambitious and come up with new innovative ideas
