POSITION DESCRIPTION
ROLE: CONTENT CREATOR - FREELANCE
TEAM: THE KITCHEN NORTH AMERICA
LOCATION: TORONTO
HOURS: FULL-TIME
About The Kitchen
The Kitchen is a team of creatives, strategists, producers, designers, content creators and social media managers working directly with brands to deliver breakthrough ideas. What makes us different is the way we work. We leverage our unique position inside Kraft Heinz to drive creativity and agility that’s only possible with trust and collaboration with our brand partners. Sometimes we’re focused on our brands’ biggest briefs and campaigns, and sometimes we’re creating our own briefs inspired by opportunities that arise from culture and current events. Together, we’re breaking down barriers and empowering more –more ideas, from more places, and more opportunities to earn our consumers’ attention and learn more about them.
Position Summary
In this role as Content Creator, you work alongside a team of creatives and a producer to plan, shoot, edit and optimize a wide range of content. From clever TikToks shot natively on the device to deliciously staged food photography, you will work to create a range of still and video assets for some iconic brands. You’re an expert in social content – with a deep understanding of the platforms and what kind of content audiences expect on each. You enjoy the creative process and you’ll be part of a team that makes the kind of ideas, brand acts, and social content that gets people talking.
You’ll use your experience as a content creator to plan, shoot, edit, and design content at the speed of culture. You are on top of the latest trends and are well-versed in creating content for all platforms – you know what works on Instagram, twitter, and just how different both those platforms are from TikTok. You are comfortable using high end camera equipment from the team’s production kit, or shooting and editing natively on a mobile device for quick posts in app. You are a storyteller and use all your skills every day to create content that sets us apart from other brands online.
Your work will make a meaningful impact with a multi-talented team in North America (Toronto & Chicago) that blurs the lines of what advertising can be in today’s always-on, socially connected industry.

- CONTENT CREATION: You use a robust skillset from photography to videography, design, and platform native tools to create a wide range of content that suits the moment and the idea. From quick social posts to beautiful shoots, you have range and the ability to switch quickly between styles.
- STORYTELLING: You’re able to ideate, build, shoot, and edit effective stories that match the quality of each social platform.
