We’re looking for a social media maven with all the ideas to pitch, create and ultimately produce content for our social media channels. Whether it’s highlighting a viral food hack, or capturing the latest launch in-store, we’re looking for an individual that loves storytelling on social.


As part of our newly created Social Media Centre of Excellence (COE), this contract role with full time hours, the Content Creator will be focusing on supporting campaign, always on and organic initiatives across our banners (grocery + food content, health, lifestyle, etc).


Key Responsibilities


  • Ideate & execute concepts for social media channels (Facebook, Instagram & TikTok) including strategies to increase brand awareness and engagement and grow our audience
  • Storyboard, pitch and champion ideas & concepts to senior team members
  • Offer a confident creative POV while working collaboratively other creative and social team members, and internal and external stakeholders (i.e. marketing teams, photographers, producers, etc.)
  • Research and provide recommendations based on best practices as well as industry and consumer trends, with a focus on emerging social trends
  • Ensure the integrity of all creative is maintained according to brand guideline and standards
  • Collaborate with marketing teams and other business units to ideate and develop creative aligned with wider marketing messages, and ensure content is captured and used effectively across relevant platforms
What You'll Need


  • Thrives being on-camera for short-form videos as well as experience with editing both voiceover and audio
  • 3-5 years of experience in the Social Media field in creative development and execution, with a focus on Agency or Corporate brands
  • Highly enthusiastic and a team player, with positive attitude and high energy level
  • Ability to execute projects from rough concepts to the finished product across all channels
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent attention to detail; with organizational, communication and project management skills; and with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Affinity for current & emerging social trends with the ability to incorporate learnings in delivering on-brand images and video
  • Knowledge of all design related software applications (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat) in a Mac environment. Video editing and motion graphics is an asset
  • Excellent creative and visual conceptualization, written and verbal communication skills
  • Portfolio showcasing content you’ve produced from concept through to output, with a particular focus on trending content formats and food/recipe execution
