Computer Aided Design Specialist

The ideal candidate will have experience with creating 2D and 3D drawings using various design software.

Responsibilities

• Responsible to ensure CAD data is released properly through Teamcenter PDM system
• Download customer information: 2D & 3D data, engineering standards & specificationsCreate 3D models (proposals, studies) and 2D associated drawings
• Preparation of Design Specifications
• Data Management
• Support detailed engineering analysis using available methods (FEA, Tolerance Stack up, Packaging Studies)
• Support all Engineering Change activities related to 2D & 3D data (uploads, data revisions and engineering levels data comparison, component drawings creation & updates)

Qualifications

• Strong skills in CAD modeling and drafting (GD&T, assemblies, specifications).
• Participates in continuous improvement activities through the Kaizen philosophy
• High technical proficiency in part design and problem-solving.
• Software proficiencies must include CATIA, NX, Teamcenter, and Ansys.
• Excellent written and communication skills
• 2-3 + years experience with CAD Design
• Ability to identify design engineering requirements
• Ability to create necessary prints for departments or customers as required
