Commercial Law Clerk Jobs

We are currently seeking junior legal professionals who are interested in learning about the general practice of commercial law and the intersection of commercial law and technology.

Cobalt AI consists of technology lawyers and legal technologists who are passionate about providing tech-assisted legal services to solve our client’s large volume document problems. We have developed a series of technology based products to efficiently draft, review, and process documents in the spheres of commercial law, and more specifically around complex negotiations. Responsibilities:

During the course of your position, you will be working on the edge of traditional law and technology-assisted contract drafting and training. You will be working closely with lawyers to complete legal research, draft and review commercial agreements, draft blog articles on leading issues in the firm's core areas of focus, and be responsible for using innovative in-house legal technologies.

We are prepared to invest time in your development and understanding of legal principles and practice to make you a better law student and to ultimately train you to become a better lawyer.

Requirements and Skills:

• Nice to have: Experience as a law clerk, legal assistant or position with similar duties (preferably within commercial law)
• Interest in commercial dealings and entrepreneurship
• Proven ability to multitask and juggle competing priorities
• Ability to work well with technology (including understanding how to tackle new technology)
• Attention to detail
• Bachelor’s degree (required as a minimum)
• Proficient in English
• A paralegal, law clerk, and/or legal administration degree is required
