Cocktail Server Jobs

A structured Server role is critical to serve prepared foods and drinks to casino guests. The server will typically spend the most time with guests during their stay at the casino.

Reporting to the Beverage Manager, the Server will be responsible to collect food and drink orders from guests. This will include collecting special dining requests they may have. They will also assist guests to choose selections they would enjoy and answer questions regarding allergy alerts. They will bill and collect cash after meals from guests.

• Communication Skills Reading, writing, speaking, and listening are important for the server to communicate effectively to guests, kitchen staff, and food and beverage helpers.
• Prepare tables or counters for meals.
• Has some experience in food handling, cash handling, customer service, and/or serving.
• Suggest and serve desserts and beverages.
• Pleasant and accommodating, willing to go the extra mile
• Greet customers, present menus and/or help customers to select menu items.
• Record orders and place them with the kitchen and bar.
• Believes work can be fun
• Pick up and serve orders.
• Sincere desire to please
• Admits what they don't know and will ask for help

• The schedule for this position may vary and would require the ability to work shift work, late nights, weekends and holidays.
• Stock the service area with supplies (e.g. coffee, glassware).

• Check that customers are enjoying their meals and correct any problems.
• Mathematic Skills Basic math may be needed to verify cash receipts.

• Customer Service Skills Servers need proper customer service skills as they have a lot of interaction with guests and must deal with a number of special requests.

• Physical Coordination The server must have the ability to move food trays effectively across the restaurant floor. Trays loaded with food may be as heavy as 15lbs.
• Inform customers about daily specials.
• Able to work with little supervision.
• Cocktail Serving Experience is required
