Job Title: Clinical Data Associate
Job description
We are looking for an experienced doctor or recent graduate of Medicine to perform Clinical Data Associate duties who is responsible for performing sound data analysis activities.
Please note: this is a job in a Software Development company, it is NOT clinical work, and it DOES NOT require any medical-related license in Canada. The core of this job is to analyze pre-recorded heart sounds on a daily basis using Sparrow’s tools and methodologies. Training to perform this task will be provided to each new team member, however initial experience using a stethoscope is a must.
Responsibilities include:
Participation in the collection of medical data:
Control the quality and quantity of collected data
Verification of collected data
Controlling the anonymity of collected data
Reporting on the quantity and quality of collected data
Correction of detected deficiencies
Training of staff that performs data collection
Processing of medical data:
Data classification and organization
Data analysis
Data clean up
Acoustic bio signal processing: labeling, segmentation, audio editing, etc.
Assistance in the validation of devices under development
Information search
Preparation of publications:
Preparation of audio, video, and graphics
Assisting in writing articles, books, presentations, reports
Participating in verification and validation activities
Additional duties as assigned
Education / Experience or Equivalent:
M.D. degree or M.D. degree in progress or Nursing degree ***Not License required**
Location:
Newfounland and Labrador/remote
Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of heart auscultation and heart sounds
Clinical / laboratory research experience in a fellowship / academic setting
Critical solid, strategic, and analytical thinking skills
Experience/expertise in the interpretation of scientific data
Flexible and committed to the team concept
