The Volunteer Chair of the board of directors is responsible for the oversight of the organizational with the assistance of the Board members. The Chairperson and Board members act as the executive branch and leadership of the organization. The Chairperson will be responsible for organizing and oversight of quarterly meetings, passing motions, and moving the our vision of Planting Happiness and Reducing Hunger forward with passion, professionalism and innovation. The volunteer Chairperson position requires a person with a passion for reducing hunger, horticulture practices, building new partnerships and maintaining existing ones.
