We are actively seeking a Captain – Pilot Boats to carry out various pilotage maneuvers in the port of Trois-Rivières.

YOUR TALENTS WILL BE USED TO MEET THE FOLLOWING CHALLENGES:


  • Implement and audit the company’s SMS (Safety Management System);
  • Ensure that the vessel’s equipment is in good working order;
  • Operate vessels in accordance with company and industry-accepted practices;
  • Lead a crew and ensure the smooth running of maneuvers;
  • Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.
  • Ensure the vessel’s seaworthiness in all conditions;
  • Implement the company’s safety and environmental protection policies;
  • Comply with the requirements issued by the Laurentian Pilotage Authority (LPA);
  • Inspect material, structure and equipment in accordance with the SINEX maintenance program;
  • Ensure that the vessel and crew have the necessary certification for the operations area;
  • Promote and maintain the health and safety of all persons on board the vessel;
  • Participate in the validation of repair and modification lists with the superintendent;


Our Ideal Colleague Has
  • Restricted Commercial Marine Radio Operator (CRO-CM);
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft 365, namely Outlook;
  • Experience on pilot boats (an asset);
  • Availability day, night and weekends;
  • Mechanical and/or SVMO knowledge (an asset);
  • The following certificates:
  • Languages: advanced level in French and in English, oral and written (an asset).
  • Valid medical certificate issued by Transport Canada;
  • Good knowledge of navigation on the St. Lawrence River;
  • Master, Limited for a Vessel of 60 GT or More
  • Basic first-aid training at sea
  • MED on safety carrying passengers (A2);
