The Building Operator, Facilities is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the Canada Goose facility.
Qualifications
What You'll Do:

• Monitor and maintain building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lighting
• Monitor and maintain adequate supplies and equipment for the facilities department
• Perform drywall patch & repair and painting, as required
• Perform minor repairs on windows, doors, switches, desks, tables, plugs, equipment, appliance, sinks, toilets, blinds, etc.
• Maintain facility inventory
• Perform all other duties as assigned or needed
• Oversee the cleaning team
• Liaise with contractors and external vendors, as required
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
• Perform regular preventive maintenance. Help to maximize predictive / preventative maintenance activities that will decrease the need for emergency and corrective maintenance
• File service documents
• Active member of Health & Safety committee; investigating and addressing all issues and workplace inspection items noted from monthly meetings
• Clean light fixtures and change light bulbs/tubes

Experience and Education:

• A minimum of 5 years, Building Maintenance experience with increasing responsibility in a Medium to Large facilities preferred
• Related experience in building maintenance and facility operations
• Post-secondary education

• Driver’s License and Vehicle preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of all building maintenance and safe operation practice
• Ability to implement sustainable and beneficial change
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Windows)
• Knowledge of building codes and building material
• Able to think analytically to solve problems
• Able to work well with a team as well as independently
• Excellent adaptably to working with executives, office staff, warehouse/manufacturing staff and contractors
• Positive attitude and self-motivated

Working Conditions:

• Indoor/outdoor, rain, snow, freezing rain, extreme heat, extreme cold
• Shipping and receiving, storage area
• Office /manufacturing environment
