Job Description
What You’ll Do


A results driven, proven customer centric leader who can champion and lead major program and project initiatives to deliver physical and system capabilities for all supply chain teams and banners. This role is directly responsible for leading all major project initiatives that support strategic and sustaining portfolios for new asset delivery and replacement of end of life equipment to maintain optimal, efficient, and productive Supply Chain nodes across the Supply Chain network. The role encompasses all aspects of project management including overseeing the selection and development of material handling and automation equipment solutions, integrated IT system solutions, process development and change management, facility layout and design requirements, and integrated construction activities.


  • Responsible for all capital investment requests including cost benefit analysis and document preparation.
  • Facilitate team development and promote interdepartmental cooperation
  • Develop, identify and lead/manage projects that support efficient, productive, cost saving process improvements
  • Responsible in part for developing Distribution projects strategies/future state
  • Enable matrix organization behavior by ensuring interdepartmental participation in project development
  • Formally present strategies, concepts, updates, findings to all levels of internal and external resources/customers
  • Oversee both large and small scale projects ensuring they are managed effectively (scope, time, budget) and efficiently using accepted project management methodologies
  • Effectively lead and manage a team of full time, consultants, external vendors and cross functional teams to build new distribution centres, retrofit existing facilities, deliver innovative solutions through automation to meet future Supply Chain strategic initiatives
  • Lead, monitor, and track the development of annual capital strategic and sustaining capital planning investments to support all Supply Chain business teams


What You Bring


  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Management skills with an emphasis on leadership and decisiveness
  • Minimum 10 years supply chain leadership experience, minimum 5 years at a senior level and University/College degree in Engineering or equivalent experience/accomplishments
  • Experience with supply chain systems (DCCS/WMOS/other warehouse automation control systems)
  • Budget experience and strong financial acumen
  • Strong track record of driving results and performance transformation
  • Effective at collaborating with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization and with external partners in order to implement change
  • Proven success at change management
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience with history of structured project management training (PMP designation is an asset).
  • Superb collaboration, joint problem solving and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical skills, specifically in areas of process and practical application
  • Effective at collaborating with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization and with external partners in order to implement change
