Job Title:AutoCAD Draftsperson

Responsibilities:

• Supervise general contractors and vendors, manage schedules, updates, and budgets
• Possess strong communication skills
• Calculate required information for shop drawing bill of materials
• Read and understand contractual obligations and ensure compliance
• Manage multiple projects from design stage to restaurant opening
• Demonstrate resilience and tenacity
• Obtain necessary permits and variances for construction projects
• Develop creative and functional design plans, layouts, elevations, and detailed drawings using design software
• Assist in the development of Franchise Plans and elevations
• Travel frequently to store locations to oversee and manage
• Prepare clear, concise, and accurate shop drawings and details for products
• Be proficient in MS Word and Excel
• Work with cities and municipalities to process plans and documents
• Asset to have commercial construction experience, particularly in restaurant tenant improvements
• Have a long-term career interest in Freshslice Pizza
• Solicit construction bids, review for completeness and competitiveness, and negotiate as necessary
• Be a self-starter and highly motivated

Requirements:

• Strong negotiation, communication, and management skills
• Professional handyman skills and familiarity with plumbing, drywall, carpentry, and electrical work will be an asset
• Must own a vehicle and cell phone
• Must live within 30 minutes of the office or be willing to relocate (this is not a remote job position)
• AutoCAD certification preferred, outstanding AutoCAD knowledge required
• Knowledge of construction processes, project planning, budgeting, construction materials/specifications, building codes, zoning laws, contracts, mechanical/electrical systems, surveying kitchen equipment, and restaurant operations
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, travel extensively, climb around construction sites, and interact with construction-related personnel at all levels
• 3 to 5 years of experience in commercial construction labor, including restaurant, retail, and tenant improvements
• Experience working with cities and municipalities

Salary: $60,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
