The product team at Derivative Path focuses on implementing the technology vision of the firm, working closely with the executive team, our lines of business, and clients.


About You


We are looking for a strategic problem solver in the Product Management Team in finding ways to quickly deliver innovative products to the market. The successful candidate will be responsible for bridging the gap between technology and our lines of business and clients, find the root causes of business challenges, identify opportunities, and make recommendations on how to resolve or enhance our platform to achieve the business goal of expanding our current customer base and further developing our SaaS platform as a core product.


You will be responsible for maintaining the Product Roadmap and working alongside the Sales team to assess and recommend enhancements and additional products and services, with the goal of expanding the current customer base and developing the SaaS platform as a viable product. You will also be conducting research through methods such as client meetings, surveys and analysis of the market.


What You'll Do


  • Gathering, evaluating, and analyzing business needs for new and existing initiatives to support a rapidly expanding client base.
  • Participate in writing business requirements and translating them into application functional requirements.
  • Work closely with business partners (Sales, Operations, Client Success Team, and our clients) in understanding their requirements.
  • Work with the Development team in designing application functionality, reports, databases, and processes to help in accomplishing stated business needs in the most efficient way possible.
  • Suggest improvements or enhancements to processes and platform to increase customer satisfaction and improve productivity.
  • Assist in the development of test cases, test results, implementation, and deployment plans.

Qualificationss


  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Excel, VBA, and user-defined functions
  • Experience with Program / Project Management, Numerix, FinCad, or similar third-party party analystics packages as a plus
  • Prior role(s) at a specialized capital markets software provider or swap dealer
  • Familiar with Agile software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Strong presentation skills, with the confidence in presenting to a large audience
  • Experience in product management with a capital markets Interest Rate, FX, or Commodities role
  • Highly motivated self-starter who solves problems with a business-centric view
  • 3+ years of experience in the capital market or investment banking industry
  • 5+ years of business system analysis or design experience
  • Experience with Regulatory or market-driven initiatives such as (FRTB, SACCR, Dodd-Frank, IBOR Transition, SDR reporting)


Preferred Qualifications


  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Effective analysis of problems and potential solutions
  • Experience with low latency applications and or trading applications a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with senior managers and clients
  • Strong logical and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment


Education


  • Advanced degree related to finance/economics/computer science
  • Bachelor’s degree related to finance/economics/computer science
