YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS MATTER

As a part-time Architectural Technologist, you skillfully lead the design process for our construction projects from beginning to end. You collaborate with our design team to ensure we follow our timelines and that our plans satisfy our clients' needs. During the sales process, you analyze preliminary drawings to determine their structural feasibility. You then support your team in creating more complex plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software while assisting with tasks such as specification writing, contractor management, and deficiency identification.

Safety is always your top priority, so you make sure your structural designs meet all regulatory and construction requirements while also remaining within budget. You adjust plans and make architectural recommendations to ensure every project fully lives up to each client's expectations. As our project progresses, you make sure your team meets all deadlines and we have all the resources we need. This is a highly rewarding part-time position for someone who enjoys the complexities of construction and design, and who is committed to delivering quality projects to clients!

WHAT'S REQUIRED FOR AN ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST?

• Strong knowledge of wood frame construction and structural design
• Ability to create architectural construction drawings for all types of buildings and facilities
• Proficiency with software such as Microsoft Office, Autodesk Revit, and AutoCAD
• Knowledge about building and safety codes as well as a range of relevant products, materials, and industry standards
• Experience producing design deliverables for the concept, schematic, detail, and construction document stages of a project
