Sheet Metal Jobs

Journeyman certification in sheet metal installation is preferred. 3rd and 4th-year apprentices with relevant experience will also be considered.

Crane signaling experience is a benefit but not mandatory.

Experience in industrial construction and working on large-scale projects.

Valid First Aid and Fall Protection certifications.

Additional certifications such as AWP (Aerial Work Platform) are desirable.

Compensation ranges from $30 to $45 per hour, depending on experience.

Provide training to more junior level, less experienced workers

2-5+ years of previous experience with architectural metals in a commercial/industrial setting

Read blueprints and ensure design specifications are being adhered to

Work at heights while following safety protocols

High School Diploma or experience relevant to the position

At least 1 year of experience as a Sheet Metal worker or Fabricator

Proven knowledge of manufacturing techniques

Effective listening & communication skills (verbal), to work collaboratively with others

Operate all metal finishing equipment (shears, brakes, punches, and drill presses) to cut, bend, punch, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal.

Produce sheet metal components in accordance with the Company drawing specifications.

Provide training to more junior level, less experienced workers

2-5+ years of previous experience with architectural metals in a commercial/industrial setting

Keeps work area is clean and ready to go daily

Keeps conveyor bearings are clean and have grease

Reports any issues that arise immediately

Assists shredder mechanics during projects

Assists in meeting monthly production goals

Completion of High School and/or equivalent

The ideal candidate would have the following experience and qualifications:

Have 1-5 years of estimating experience preferred

Experience with Fabritrak Software an asset.

Detail oriented with good organizational skills.

A good understanding of manufacturing processes related to sheet metal and machining. Shop floor experience in a metal shop preferred.

Ability to manage peak volumes, meet tight deadlines, determine priorities and work well under pressure.
