Possess at least 7-10 years of previous relevant management experience

Past clinical experience in a relevant health field

Master’s Degree in a related field (business or health discipline)

Proven experience with Budget management, policy and process development

Skills in strategic planning, project management, program development and effective resource management and utilization.

Provides effective, efficient and safe patient services through human, financial, and environmental resource management.

Manages all aspects of employee relations including recruitment, retention, attendance and performance management in collaboration with Human Resources and Labour Relations.

Experience in effective critical thinking, decision making and problem solving skills within a fast paced, complex and continually changing environment.

Minimm of (5) years of clinical experience required, in an acute care hospital

Lead the strategic planning and management of identified Trading Partners, including quarterly business reviews, contract management, KPI management, business expansion, etc.

Strong managerial skills and the ability to lead a team

Collaborate with Regional Sales Manager – Specialty Distributors, as required to ensure proper alignment

Manage the Non-Acute partners to ensure short term and long-term opportunity pipelines are current and being managed to drive growth

Updating product knowledge on ongoing basis

Strong coaching skills and a focus on retaining and developing talent

Expertise in operating room, wound care, continence management an asset

Available for all shifts when required for training or education purposes, specifically during in-services or implementations.

Broad experience in nursing preferred – 3 years minimum preferred as a Registered Nurse, or in a healthcare sales environment

Excellent computer skills (Excel/ MS Word/ Power Point)

As directed by the RN/RPN/LPN/NP, takes temperature, pulse, respiration, and weight and obtains non-sterile specimens such as urine and stool.

Transports patients using mechanical aids such as wheelchairs, lifts and stretchers.

Assists in the admission, discharge and transfer of patients including the transfer/care of clothing and personal belongings.

Sets up charts for new patients and attaches documents to charts as directed by the RN/RPN/LPN/NP and according to established protocols.

Attends internal/external committees, patient care meetings and training sessions as assigned.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Participates with patient, families, and community supports and interdisciplinary treatment teams to coordinate services, manage cases and facilitate meetings.

Attends and/or leads meetings, in-services, develops/coordinates psycho-educational and support groups

Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of emotional and mental health issues related to illness and injury, and patient/family cultural dynamics.

Basic counselling skills including crisis counselling, brief therapeutic interventions and loss and grief applicable to families, young adults and seniors.

Knowledge of community, social, health and welfare programs, Acts/Policies.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge of evidence informed nursing practice related to designated clinical area.

Knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in patient care.

Knowledge of basic research, e.g. research ethics, research question, hypothesis and qualitative and quantitative data analyses methods.

Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver educational materials for staff/patients/clients and families based on educations theories, principles and best practices.

Demonstrated skill in clinical techniques and the use of applicable equipment and supplies.

Demonstrated skill in CPR techniques.
