Principal Software Engineer Key Responsibilities

Making the most complex architectural decisions in the product

Reviewing feature design proposals from other team members and simplifying them

Work closely with Product Management, UX designers, and the larger engineering team to deliver quality user interfaces.

Deep knowledge of web frameworks, such as, Angular, React, or VueJS

Experience maintaining enterprise npm projects, including private packages, managing dependency upgrades and package audits

10+ years of UI Engineering experience

Work with other UI engineers and UX to build out a suite of loosely-coupled reusable components.

Brainstorm, design and develop new ways to visualize and present complex information to users.

Participate in requirements refinement, architecture discussions, design specification reviews, and test plan development for features across the full stack

8+ years’ experience in hands-on software development

Experience in the development and support of product-level bioinformatics pipelines and bioinformatics software

Experience building software products using Java, Spring and REST APIs

Experience with relational databases such as Postgres, MySql

Experience with microservices architecture and development including associated tools

Expert knowledge and capabilities in Java development, Angular and Javascript.

Expert knowledge and capabilities in Domain Driven Design

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, with strong fundamentals and problem solving skills.

10+ years experience in software development roles with at least 5 years of experience as Technical Lead or Architect

Working knowledge of JavaScript technologies such as Angular, Node.js, Typescript.

Experience with AWS Cloud deployments.
