Medical Clinic Assistant Jobs

Previous Personal Support Worker or Medical Laboratory experience is considered an asset.

Previous experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) or Nurse is considered an asset.

Proficiency in measuring vitals signs and/or experience with medications review is considered an asset.

Relevant experience working in a medical office environment.

Proficient knowledge of Electronic Medical Records system (knowledge of Accuro is considered an asset).

Sound knowledge of medical terminology.

Management of all patient appointments appropriately and providers schedules as per our SOP.

1-2 years of Medical Office Experience and/or Medical Office Assistant Diploma.

Sound knowledge of medical terminology.

Good interpersonal and customer service skills with the goal of helping patients access services to improve their health.

Checking in patients (reception/registration) and checking out patients (scheduling follow ups).

Grade 12, Medical Terminology plus one (1) year's recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Five (5) years recent related experience in an appropriate area of clinical practice within a large complex health organization.

Comprehensive knowledge of issues in relevant service area including current trends, best practices and modalities of treatment.

Utilizes strong critical thinking skills when making decisions, resolving issues/conflict.

Record and document management and all administrative duties, as assigned.

1-2 years of post-secondary education in a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Appropriate application of scripts, scenarios and clinical skills.

Six months to one year of experience in a customer service environment (i.e. retail or hospitality).

Excellent communication skills in English (spoken, written, reading and comprehension); other languages are considered an asset.

Base rate $15.50 per hour, with additional earning potential.

·Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment

·Work on ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) system improvements, implementation projects and execute User Acceptance Testing;

·Curate engaging blended learning content that enhance skill development and knowledge retention

Completed an accredited MLA/OSMT/CSMLS certification is required

Administrative or customer service experience, including in a non-medical field is considered an asset

Proficient in computer/knowledge of EMR is an asset
