Environmental Designer Jobs

In-depth knowledge of relevant municipal, provincial and federal environmental legislation, regulations, policies, guidelines, and regulatory permitting and approval requirements

Environmental management during construction, including developing environmental management plans, on-site monitoring and documentation, is considered an asset

3 to 8 years’ experience, preferably in the consulting industry, with an emphasis on linear infrastructure EAs

Successful delivery of Class EAs for linear infrastructure. Experience with individual EAs would be considered an asset

Experience in the design and delivery of stakeholder and Indigenous Community engagement programs, including the use of innovative virtual engagement tools

Experience in business development activities including client development and responding to RFPs

· 5-10 years of relevant environmental experience in progressively more independent and senior roles.

· A University degree (B.Sc. or M.Sc.) or other technical post-secondary education in biology, or environmental sciences

· Excellent communicator with proven interpersonal and problem-solving skills

· Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership skills

· History and proven experience building and maintaining productive professional relationships

· Experience with Alberta Public Lands Act permitting

Knowledge and experience with stripping and waxing required

Knowledge and experience in burnishing, auto-scrubbing and buffing.

Maintain open and timely communication with team members and management staff

Minimum Grade 12 education and/or equivalent in support services role preferred

Ability to read and write, follow instructions, and use basic math skills

Uses the pager as required to perform job duties
