Lead the Research function at Thumbtack, directly managing both ICs and managers.

8+ years of experience in research, with 4+ years of experience leading and managing research teams

Experience leading high-performing research teams in a fast-paced environment, with a demonstrated ability to balance research rigor with practicality

Excellent communication skills; comfortable engaging with a variety of stakeholders, including executive teams

Excellent presentation and storytelling skills

Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, Information Science, Computer Science, related fields, or equivalent practical experience

Minimum 10 years of Information Technology experience within a Senior Management role.

Experience with efficient implementation, optimization, and management of cloud technology (IAAS, SAAS, and PAAS).

Experience in vendor and/or contract management.

Strong leadership and management abilities to motivate, lead, organize, and coach direct reports.

Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and balance priorities successfully under tight deadlines.

Provide recommendations on initiatives and projects to management based on schedules, priority, and resource capacity.

Minimum 10 years of Information Technology experience within a Senior Management role.
