Be responsible for timely progress through the Restaurant Leader Certification Program, taking on additional responsibilities as learning and skill enhancements occur

Assist in the day-to-day leadership and management of a Montana's restaurant as directed by the General Manager (GM)

Montana's is looking for an Assistant General Manager

Be accountable for key financials and key performance indicators, in partnership with the Leadership team

Develop the ability to effectively lead both dining room and kitchen operations while adhering to brand standards

Post secondary degree/diploma in hospitality and/or a business related field

* Strong organizational and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively

* Utilize file management software (e.g., OPUS, Iron Mountain Connect) and support first-level troubleshooting

* Maintain records management stock (e.g., files, labels, boxes)

* Control access to highly sensitive files in compliance with Records Management guidelines

* Escalate questions/concerns to the Facilities Services Manager/Corporate Records Management

* 2+ years of experience providing general office support in a professional office environment

Two years of management and leadership experience

Excellent computer skills and experience in using Office 365

The duties and responsibilities for the Assistant General Manager include, but are not limited to the following:

Fills in for any vacant shifts as needed and assigned by General Manager.

Establish and manage labour and supplies budget.

Act as manager on duty when Executive Director and Community Business Director are not on site.

Manage the schedules in accordance to resident census and budgets and control overtime within prescribed standards

Manage the budget for housekeeping and dining room supplies

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.

Previous experience in a senior management role, preferably in a multidisciplinary team

Experience in municipal management and economic development

Proven track record in operational, financial, and budget management

Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills

Must be ability to travel and be comfortable living in a remote community
