Overview An Activities Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of recreational activities and programs in a variety of settings, such as schools, camps, and community centers. They are responsible for creating and implementing activities, managing staff, and ensuring the safety of participants. Detailed Job Description An Activities Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and leading recreational activities and programs. They must create activities that are safe and engaging for participants, while also ensuring that all safety regulations are followed. They must also manage staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling. Additionally, they must monitor the progress of activities and programs, and provide feedback to staff and participants. They must also ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stored. Job Skills Required• Leadership: Activities Supervisors must be able to lead and motivate staff and participants.
• Communication: Activities Supervisors must be able to communicate effectively with staff and participants.
• Organization: Activities Supervisors must be able to organize activities and programs in an efficient manner.
• Problem-solving: Activities Supervisors must be able to identify and solve problems quickly and effectively.
• Interpersonal: Activities Supervisors must be able to interact with staff and participants in a positive manner.
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in recreation, physical education, or a related field.
• Previous experience in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

• Knowledge of staff management and development.

• Previous experience in a supervisory role.
• Previous experience in a recreational setting.
