Responsibilities and Daily Duties include:

High School diploma/GED and demonstrated experience in materials management, warehouse, inventory management or procurement in a manufacturing setting.

Analytical skills – you’ll track, audit, analyze and interpret inventory levels to ensure production orders and shipping orders can be met.

Time to be efficient and use your detail-oriented skills!

Detail and numerically oriented with the ability to effectively communicate, problem solve and manage complex situations

Excellent customer service/vendor relations skills

Must be able to lift 50 pounds & perform other duties as assigned

· Must have good decision-making skills and be a problem solver.

Minimum 7+ years’ work experience in related roles and industries.

· Organized with the ability to manage time and priorities effectively.

Looking for 1 year work experience in similar Warehouse or construction environment

Forklift operating experience a strong asset, Houle will train and certify where needed

Warehouse Assistant Duties And Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

Offloading Deliveries and Loading Shipments

Re-palletize materials and place into warehouse racking

Inventory management: organizing boxes, files, media in accordance with the project requirements.

Data entry: indexing of confidential client information.

Experience with document storage / shredding is a HUGE asset.

Typing skills and capacity to learn / navigate through software are a must.

Keep warehouse organized, products are stored safely and according to WHIMIS requirements and shelves are stocked and reorganized as needed.

Assist the warehouse manager with further warehousing tasks, as necessary.

Previous shipping & receiving experience is an asset.

Strong verbal and listening communication skills.

Receive, check, record, organize and store stock as it is received.

Track and monitor inventory of stock and products with the use of the ERP system.

Log incoming shipments into Inventory Management Software as required and return components and products onto shelves

Computer skills with a focus on Microsoft Excel (intermediate knowledge with MS Word, Outlook)

Discuss performance issues promptly in a tactful manner with team-members and supportively manage the improvement process

Manage the attraction and selection of new team-members (posting jobs, filtering resumes and interviewing candidates)

Organize components based on daily work order priority ready for efficient access by Assembly Clerks

Prepare and replenish pour rooms ready for Assembly Clerks

Previous warehouse experience preferred, but not required

Physically loading or unloading freight or materials from trucks

Sometimes using an electric power jack or forklift to unload

1-3 years of inventory management experience in a manufacturing environment

Completion of a Supply Chain Management diploma or degree

Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets management/customers’ expectations and business timelines

Must have a valid forklift license and experience or have the ability to renew a pre-existing one

Previous experience in construction or related manufacturing industry is an asset

Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills for collaborating with other team members
