Post-secondary education in business or a related field is an asset

2-5 years of experience in retail, home décor, building materials or related industry

2-5 years of experience in managing a team-2-5 years experience in retail merchandising and display

Minimum 3 years experience in retail store management position managing and coaching sales associates

Recruit and make hiring, pay and termination decisions for all levels of store personnel including members of store management

Manage employee relations issues including performance management and ensures associates follow LS&CO policies and procedure Operational Excellence

Coach staff to increase their knowledge, providing opportunities for continued development within the organization. Create succession plans for developing top talent.

Create a compelling store experience for customers by engaging and modeling appropriate customer service behaviors to associates

Bachelor's degree (5+ years of retail work experience may be substituted for a degree)

Management experience required, Retail Store Manger experience preferred

Manage daily inventory and orders for food, juice, and retail products to maximize sales, control discounting, and reduce spoilage.

Hands on food preparation and delivery of an exceptional guest experience.

Produce sales and operations reports using POS system and store manager daily / weekly recaps

Maintain a commitment to ongoing personal development including nutrition, product knowledge, sales, team leadership, and operations.

Optimize profits by controlling key variable costs of food, beverage, labour and other controllable expenses.

Hire, train, schedule, and develop team membersto ensure efficient operation and guest satisfaction. Prepare and conduct individual performance reviews.

Previous retail management experience is an asset.

Effective planning, organization and time management skills.

Manage the Grocery Department in accordance with the company policies, procedures, programs, merchandising standards and overall expectations.

Provide feedback to the Food Manager regarding recommendations for continued improvement of operations.

Must have a minimum of 2-3 years retail experience.

Previous Grocery department experience is an asset.

Work with a dynamic executive management group.
