Read and interpret electrical, mechanical and architectural drawings, specifications, and applicable codes to determine wiring layouts

Cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings

Assist all senior coworkers and making efforts to acquire and retain all trade knowledge.

Continuous training and skills improvement

Conduct self in a professional manner with internal team members and customers.

Installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications

Defining and labeling wires, conduits.

Taking steps to ensure Corporate Safety Standards on the worksite, including attending Safety Training Meetings, following required measures.

Provides support and takes direction from Journeyman Electrician.

Reads, interpret, and execute drawings and schematics.

Installs, repairs, or replaces motors, transformers, starters, relays, and starters.

Installs, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring, switch boxes, conduits, lighting, etc.

Installs, repairs, or replaces generators and industrial storage batteries.

Valid class 5 driver’s license.

Experience with Microsoft Windows, Office and computer based test equipment would be an asset

Must meet pre-access Drug & Alcohol testing requirements

Assist in the day to day activities involved with substation construction

Install time sensitive network and power cabling, including connection, location and documentation of all circuits, as required

Perform preventive equipment maintenance; scheduled, unscheduled and emergency requests

Perform maintenance, predictive inspections and testing on substation equipment

Attention to safety, attitude for success and working toward having a mix of technical skills, work experience and academic skill
