Set-up files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses, manage multiple files simultaneously and conduct inventory counts

Completion of, or working towards, a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance major is preferred)

Completion of, or working towards, prerequisites for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP) upon commencement of employment

Previous accounting related office experience is considered an asset

Customer service and/or client service experience is considered an asset

1+ years of management experience in an accounting and/or assurance role

Address Client issues in a timely manner, following BDO Policy and using your strong technical skills and accounting experience

Apply appropriate industry/business knowledge in anticipating, identifying and addressing issues relevant to the client’s business

Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple tasks and deadlines

In depth experience in relation to IFRS and ASPE file

Audit and review engagements for public and private clients to ensure that relevant professional standards and Firm policies are followed

5+ years’ experience in vendor management or third-party risk, Operational or Enterprise Risk, Internal Audit or Corporate Procurement or Contracts.

Stay informed about the latest developments in the vendor risk management field.

Salary of 65.91$-78.62$ (based on experience)

Assist and manage any adhoc projects, as requested.

Knowledge of risk and control practices, procedures and principles.

Sound knowledge of best practices of various aspects of information risk management and prior experience as a leader in Information Risk.

Identify the COE assurance coverage and related capabilities scope.

Possess strong file management skills and organization, able to manage multiple engagements simultaneously

Plan, organize and control multiple responsibilities and resources to achieve Audit, Review and Notice to Reader engagement objectives.

Share and transfer knowledge within the team.

3+ years of experience in a Canadian public accounting environment

Thorough understanding and experience working with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)

Experience with Canadian corporate taxes

Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills

Deliver industry and technical expertise in audit and assurance through client interactions, reports, technical work, management presentations and high-quality deliverables

Strong understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development principles

4 to 6 years of relevant public accounting experience

Lead client facing engagement teams to complete audits, compliance tax engagements, budgeting, internal controls and financial/accounting transactions

Accountable for engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (i.e., budgets, WIPS, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)
