Yard Coordinator Jobs

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Yard Coordinator who will play a crucial role in our transportation operations during the night shift at Oshawa location. we encourage you to apply.

What You’ll Be Doing
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Oversee night shift operations in the yard to ensure efficient and timely movement of tractor trailers and other transportation assets.
•Coordinate with drivers, warehouse staff, and other stakeholders to facilitate the smooth flow of goods and materials.
•Utilize advanced computer skills to track, monitor, and update inventory and shipment data in our logistics management system.
•Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during night shift operations.
•Troubleshoot and address any issues that may arise during the shift promptly and effectively.
•Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department.
•Train, mentor, and lead yard personnel to enhance their performance and ensure a cohesive team environment.
•Maintain a clean and organized yard, promoting a safe and productive work environment.
•Collaborate with other department heads to improve overall efficiency and productivity.

What You’ll Bring to the Team
Qualifications and Requirements:
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in the transportation industry.
•At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
•Strong computer skills and proficiency in logistics management software.
•Basic knowledge of tractor trailers and transportation equipment.
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with a diverse team.
•Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
•Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Compensation:

The Yard Coordinator position offers an attractive annual salary of $70,000.
