TRAINING INTERNSHIP – Writing
General Purpose: Preparation of materials and completion of specific
projects, while ensuring consistency with company strategy,commitments, and goals. The intern will learn the best practices in writing from
experienced staff.
Responsibilities and tasks may include:
·Writing grants and/or sponsorship materials
·Project management
·Content copy creation for use in promotional material and/or social media
·Planning and organizing projects
·Writing, editing, and sending out press releases and/or blogs
·Assisting with email marketing campaigns
·Database updates
·Identifying and implementing unique promotions and ways to grow engagement and followers
·Supporting SEO for blogs and press releases by integrating and optimizing them through social media
·Responsible for providing materials on social media that promote the brand and build credibility, followers and engagement
·Understanding all relevant guidelines and industry requirements
·Working with other team members, organizing deliverables and coordinating the implementation
·Writing and editing, and sending out communications
·Maintaining project tracking sheets, results reporting, analytics, etc.
·Keeping all constituents informed and up-to-date on all activities
·Conduct research and/or review materials to understand various tools, systems and processes
·Develop Standard Operating Procedures based on current and new methodologies
·Conduct pre- and post evaluations and report on outcomes
·Research market, identify opportunities and generate interest
·Identify and incorporate trends
Requirements
Candidate should possess:
·College or University degree/candidacy in the fields of writing or communications, or related fields
·Prior writing experience
·Interest in writing
·Strong organizational skills
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office, basic database knowledge
·Knowledge of project management techniques and tools

·This training is similar to that which is provided in a vocational school
·This training is for the benefit of you personally, to develop your skills, resume, etc.
·Your training supervisor will ensure that the activities you work on benefit you while you are being trained
·This position is only for learning purposes and does not displace any employees in this company; additionally, it is not an opportunity to become an employee of this company
·This is an unpaid internship to support the individual in obtaining a university/college credit
