Alton Farms Estate Winery is hiring a commissioned sales position, with the potential for on-site winery education and the related work as well.We are currently working on bringing other brands into this sales position to enhance the sales lineup. As a Wine (Commission) Sales Representative, you will cultivate and grow Wine account relationships (Southern Ontario), maximizing the sales of our brands through effective planning, selling execution, and communication resulting in the achievement of our agreed objectives. Currently Sales focus either in the region from Sarnia to Grand Bend or in the London area, but other regions such as Toronto, or larger centers, are welcome.
Alton Farms Estate Winery is the pioneer estate winery and vineyard in Lambton County and in Ontario’s latest emerging wine region, Huron Shores. Established in 2005, we hand craft all our wines, and use sustainable practices in our vineyard and our winery.

Wine (Commission) Sales Representative Responsibilities:
- Work with members of management in the field to promote sales.
- Maintain and solicit new business and long-term relationships with accounts to increase revenue and volume.
- Service and ensure the marketability of our products through shelf management, display position
- Report on competitive activities withinyour sales area and offer constructive suggestions.
- Effectively plan on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to meet goals to increase market share, space allocation and customer service while managing assigned budget and sales materials.
- Plan and execute a daily schedule of calls for your assigned territory.
- Advise on price point management.
- Educate staff by administering product tastings and training seminars.
Wine (Commission) Sales Representative Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License
- Must have fully insured, reliable and appropriate transportation
- Wine Education with WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers or other
- Must be at least 19 years of age
- Wine & Spirits Passion
- Knowledge of Liquor Board Regulations, market trends and competition
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3 or more years’ selling experience in a fast moving consumer goods environment
- Must possess a valid Ontario smart serve, and a good knowledge/appreciation for wine.
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
- Proficient PC, iPad and MS Office skills
- Must be a detail and results-oriented professional with excellent verbal/written communication skills
Wine sales is by commission on each sale.Any Vineyard and winery work on-site is paid on an hourly basis.
