Description


We are looking for a talented T_ e chnical Regulations & Standard Expert_ to join our #Accelera by Cummins business unit located in Mississauga, Ontario.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
  • This product focused, developing leadership position performs established technical tasks at the product and cross-business integration level for current and future products within a given business unit or corporate area. This involves work across many steps in the product life cycle. Because of the product centered nature of this position, they are very often a central point of coordination and decision making between product engineers, product line engineers, customer teams, purchasing, suppliers and manufacturing.
  • Uses systems knowledge and expertise to make decisions in the areas of technology integration, design, analysis and experimental test verification and validation for both new a current products that impact product form, functionality and overall project risk trade-offs.
  • Creates, manages, improves and applies processes such ESW, iDFMEA, FIRG and tools such as 7-step problem solving, design review checklist and other specialized tools required to support the processes and enable high quality decision making.
  • Obtains input from stakeholders such as technical managers, project leaders, other product and manufacturing engineers and supplier partners to deliver information and recommendations that lead to quality product decisions.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
  • Analysis compliance test results and reports deviation to management and PCRA team
  • Product engineer liaison with Product Compliance and Regulatory Affairs (PCRA) team for compliance for all areas outside of US/NA
  • Manages Compliance Record Keeping
  • Creates and maintains compliance scorecards for each product line
  • Manage Products Readiness for Compliance Testing
  • Demonstrated success having worked in a Technical Specialist/Specialist Engineering role on lower complexity product development activities, translating customer needs and negotiating into product development plans, technical profiles and/or product specifications with a proven track record of successful product decisions.
  • Maintains and reports code, standards, and regulation monthly measures to electrolyzer leadership team.
  • Direct platform engineering teams on codes, standard, regulation requirements. Ensure code requirements are communicated to product teams.
  • Product facing engineering role that is responsible for ensuring US and Canada technical codes, standards, and regulations applicable to electrolyzers are understood and complied with across multiple product lines.
  • Project management of codes, std, regulations achievement / maintenance – drive project teams to schedule obtainment.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or appropriate STEM field is required.
Post-graduate (Master's) degree relevant to this discipline area may be required for select roles.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
