Job Description
We are currently seeking a Full-Time Unloader to join our Root Cellar Team! The Unloader is responsible for safely receiving and unloading our many daily deliveries and keeping track of incoming inventory and supplies. This includes signing for shipments, monitoring incoming product quality, and efficiently moving deliveries into the backstock area by hand, pallet jack or forklift.


WHAT YOU’LL DO:


  • Effectively respond to challenging situations positively and professionally, including proposing new ideas.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments regarding their deliveries.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Transport product by forklift and pallet jack.
  • Monitor the quality of the delivered product.
  • Work professionally with suppliers and drivers to receive shipments.
  • Maintain the organization and cleanliness of loading dock, backroom, garbage, recycling and storage areas.
  • Safely and efficiently unload daily produce, grocery, and meat deliveries.


OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL BRING:


  • Flexible to work early shifts starting at 6:00 am.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to work efficiently and accurately in a high-volume environment.
  • Full-Time availability for a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Good physical fitness.
  • Previous receiving/unloading experience is preferred, not required.
