Remote ESL position in South Korea

Position Summary:

We are actively seeking passionate and committed Online ESL Tutors to join our esteemed team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to instruct English to South Korean students through interactive video and phone lessons. We offer versatile scheduling options to accommodate both full-time and part-time preferences.

Job Details:

• Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

• Conduct engaging online English lessons with varying durations (10, 15, 20, or 30 minutes) per student.

• Flexibility to facilitate split shifts, including morning and/or evening sessions.

• Commit to a minimum of 15 hours per week during peak times:

Sunday~ Thursday: 5 pm to 8 pm EST

Monday~ Friday: 5 am to 11 am EST

• Additional hours available from 4 pm- 11 am EST

• Supplementary teaching hours on Saturday and Sunday (4:00 am - 10:00 am EST & 4:00 pm - 11:30 pm EST).

• Starting compensation ranges from 13 ~16 CAD per hour with semi-annual performance evaluations.

Requirements:

• English teachers should have English as their primary language.

• A University/College Degree (in any major).

• A quiet and conducive work environment for teaching.

• A Windows-based/Mac computer with at least 2 GB of RAM.

• Reliable, hard-wired (no Wi-Fi) high-speed internet service (minimum 7 Mbps).

• Proficiency in computer and internet usage.

• A landline or cellular phone (for emergency use with a company calling card).

• A headset with a microphone (Logitech Clearchat USB headset recommended).

• A webcam for interactive sessions.

• Consistent availability during peak demand hours.

• Teaching experience is preferred but not required.

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, French, German, or Russian is a plus.
