About The Position
The role will report to the CTO and be responsible for supporting colleagues with their IT needs while helping maintain systems. As SQL Server Database developer you will be involved in developing various data driven solutions in the application portfolio. The developer will support the creation and maintenance of multiple applications, ensuring appropriate integration and scalability. As a technical expert, work collaboratively with the IT team using current and emerging technologies to create, enhance, and maintain our databases.
Key Functions And Responsibilities
  • Review application requirements and designs to provide feedback and development estimates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce design and architecture.
  • Write optimized queries, views, and triggers for integration with other applications.
  • Develop MS-SQL queries and stored procedures, and create custom reports, you will also be responsible for designing databases and ensuring their stability, reliability, and performance.
Required Skills And Abilities
  • Experience with the financial services industry and the securities industry would be beneficial.
  • SQL Server database administration experience is an asset.
  • Azure DevOPS experience and SSIS experience are an asset.
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills with ability to clearly articulate opinions and ideas.
  • Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
  • VLDB and performance turning experience is desirable as the company continues to grow
  • 5+ years’ experience with all aspects of Microsoft SQL Server database in Azure
  • Experience with reporting tools such as SSRS and Crystal Reports is a plus.
Education And Experience
  • A post secondary degree in a related field.
  • A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in a similar position.
