Sort Line Worker/Truck Helper

As a GFL Sorter, you will perform a variety of tasks such as sorting recyclables and un-packaging products/recyclables on the sorting line. Other responsibilities include manual lifting, pushing bins, sweeping, and general cleaning throughout the plant in order to maintain production and cleanliness of our facility.

must be able to lift 50LBS Key Responsibilities:

• Spills procedure
• Collect loose, blown debris, garbage around property
• Also helping the drivers on trucks as and when needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Grade, sort incoming recyclables
• Grease and clean around compactor weekly
• Fire procedure as per emergency procedure
• Help in the building, as directed by Lead Hand or Plant Manager

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

• Must be able to lift 50LBS
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Knowledge of safety procedures and practices necessary
• Able to work as a team and contribute to the success of the organization
• Adhere to all company safety requirements
• Wear and maintain PPE at all times on the property
• Must work according to weather conditions
