Server Administrator (Junior Or Intermediate)

• Implementation of new projects, environments, capacity additions, and major release builds.
• Responsible for third level help desk support that includes trouble shooting and resolving problems with the server infrastructure and the integrated applications.
• Manage vendor relationships for maintenance and support of existing systems. Also, leverage these relationships to explore new technologies.
• Provide 24x7 on-call support on a rotating basis.
• Maintain documentation for configurations, operations, support process, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Responsible for Windows and Linux systems vulnerability scanning and remediation.
• Collaborate closely with other IT and business teams in the development and implemention of new solutions following the company’s project delivery processes.
• The ability to work occasional early or late shifts to support changes.
• Responsible to comply with corporate IT and Security policies.
• Responsible for capacity and scalability planning for the Intel Server infrastructure.
• Responsible for Windows and Linux systems disaster recovery planning, procedures, and testing.
• Provide production support for our current install base of virtual, and cloud based Windows and Linux server technologies. This includes installing, patching, monitoring, optimizing, and maintaining the server infrastructure.

Qualification:

· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Enterprise class IT environments working.

· Experience with installation, configuration management, and maintenance of application software, Virtual server infrastructure, peripherals, networks, and systems communications.

· Experience with the following is required:

o Microsoft Server Operating Systems including Active Directory Management and operations tolls like SCOM

o Virtualization uncluding VMWare and/or Hyper-V technologies

o Cloud/hybrid offerings – preference for Azure and GCP

o Office 365 applications including email, Teams, Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Defender

o Citrix XenApp farm management

o Exchange Administration

o Commvault backup data protection

o Linux Server Operating Systems (installing, patching, monitoring, optimizing, etc)

o Kemp Loadmasters

o Automation tools like Ansible, and scripting tools like Powershell

· Experience in an Agile, CI/CD environment.

· Experience with the following: transaction processing, relational database, web infrastructure, collaboration, messaging, eLearning, remote access, unstructured data, software development support, backup & recovery, system management technologies, and cloud-based computing.

· Clear and effective written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate to all levels of internal and external customers.

· Excellent planning, organizing, and time management skills with strong attention to detail.

· Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to creatively develop solutions to problems.

· Must be a team player with the ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment.
