Job Description
Darling International Canada Inc., is Canada's largest provider of rendering and recycling services to the food industry, operating six processing facilities across Canada. Position Summary


Reporting to the Winnipeg Logistics Department, the Rural Grease Truck Driver is responsible for the pick-up of Used Cooking Oil across Manitoba and Northwest Ontario as well as other duties as assigned. This is an overnight position with the driver spending 1-2 nights per week away at a company paid for hotel.


Key Responsibilities


  • Responsible for following all company and health and safety rules and for communicating all reportable incidents.
  • Responsible for effectively and efficiently dealing with ad-hoc issues that may arise.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
  • Required to formally report any concerns or customer service related issues.
  • Conduct all interactions with customers and suppliers in a respectful, professional, and service oriented manner.
  • Responsible for the pick-up of Used Cooking Oil across Manitoba and Northwest Ontario.
  • Accurate completion and submission of all required paperwork including driver's log, customer documents, fuel and expense receipts, etc.
  • Responsible to ensure that both tractors and trailers are maintained in a clean and presentable condition.
  • Ensure safe driving operations.
  • Tasks will include some physical demands such as repetitive pulling, pushing, lifting etc.

Experience/Qualifications


  • Ability to keep up with physically demanding tasks such as repetitive bending, pulling, pushing, lifting etc.
  • Customer service oriented
  • Flexible and willing to work overtime as required
  • Team oriented and willing to assist with all routes
  • Valid Class 1 License
  • Clean driving record
  • Familiarity of driving in Northwest Ontario an asset
  • Familiarity of driving within the Province of Manitoba
