(Remote) Quality Assurance Analyst

A division of Harris; Hiring Company, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Analyst to join our R&D team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working in QA and must be able to create, execute, and analyze test plans. The ideal candidate must have the ability to write automation scripts to test web and desktop applications and have strong knowledge of TestComplete, JMeter, Selenium, Java/JS, and SQL. Longer term, the ideal candidate must have the ability to implement tools and procedures to improve Hiring Company’s QA processes.

What Your Impact Will Be

• Develop and maintain existing scripts to refresh testing environments
• Writing and maintaining automated test suites for front-end and back-end components using JMeter, TestComplete, Selenium, SQL, Java, JS, gitlab, PowerShell, or Windows Batch file.
• Installing and configuring test environments
• Design testing plans and strategies for UI, API, load, performance, integration, and regression testing for our different products – web and client/server.
• Collaborate with the development team and the rest of QA team to improve software quality
• Analyze, recommend, and configure tools to be used for quality assurance
• Collect metrics to measure the quality of our products over time
• Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met

What We Are Looking For

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience with bug-tracking systems such as Jira
• Ability to work independently but also work well as a team player and constantly communicate with your team to ensure department goals are achieved
• 3+ years of experience in software development QA
• Experience working with one or more of the following databases MS SQL and Oracle
• Experience building automated test cases using TestComplete, JMeter, SQL, Java, JS, and Jenkins.
• Experience with test case generation for both manual and automated testing
• Thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and QA
• Experience with test management systems such as SpiraTest or XRay
• Accountability, respect, integrity, and discipline are core values. Able to meet responsibilities without constant supervision

What Would Make You Standout

• Knowledge of test automation best practices
• Experience programming and designing with JAVA or JS would be an asset
• Experience with build automation and packaging would be an asset
• Ability to lead, delegate and coordinate QA activities to service multiple development teams
• Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) would be an asset
