Reporting to the CFO,

This position is a contract position with an estimated duration of 4 months.

Also, this is not a work from home or hybrid position and requires attendance at our office at 1000 Yonge St. in Toronto, Ontario.

Purpose:

Gee Beauty retails an extensive selection of proprietary makeup and third-party skincare products. Currently the data pertaining to the inventory for these products resides on two platforms, one being for in-store retail and the other for e-commerce (Shopify).

The product line consists of thousands of SKUs (stock keeping units) and there are inconsistencies and deficiencies in the product records being held on both these platforms and across the related companies in Toronto and Miami.

The objective is to align and reconstruct the database records of products across companies and platforms to achieve a complete, consistent and uniform set of records in order to facilitate inventory management and sales performance analysis and forecasting by product.

Tasks:

· Review product data reports from existing databases in both Toronto and Miami companies.

· Identify products on a line-by-line basis and locate, match and cross reference like SKUs across the different platforms and companies.

· Recode products by applying and entering (data entry) new product codes and UPC codes to the products based on a new coding structure across all platforms and companies.

· Rename all products in all the databases such that like products have identical and consistent descriptions across the databases by editing the product descriptions in the product profiles.

· Identify any other missing information in the product profiles such as prices, costs and other specifications that cause the product records to be incomplete and inconsistent.

· Identify and correct for duplication of records and incorrect information in the databases.

· Work with the CFO to gather information needed to maintain the product records to ensure that all missing information is added to the databases.

Experience and Qualifications:

· Acuity for working with data and proficiency in entering large amounts of data in computer-based databases accurately and efficiently.

· Experience in CPG (Consumer packaged goods) or manufacturing with a focus on inventory or product or SKU level data is desirable.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Knowledge of accounting, bookkeeping, data analysis or coding gained through formal training would be an asset.

Salary: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
