React Native Expo Developer Needed for Adding Thermal Printer Functionality to Store App

We are seeking an experienced React Native Expo developer to integrate thermal printer functionality into our existing store app. Our app is built with the React Native Expo managed workflow, and we prefer to stay within the Expo ecosystem without ejecting. We plan to use the Expo Dev Client mode for development and testing.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with our existing development team to seamlessly integrate the printer functionality into the app.
• Implement print formatting for the receipt, including text, images, and other relevant data.
• Integrate thermal printer functionality into our existing React Native Expo store app.
• Implement a receipt printing feature that connects with compatible thermal printers.
• Ensure compatibility and functionality across both Android and iOS platforms.
• Test and debug the functionality to ensure smooth and error-free printing.
• Handle communication between the app and the thermal printer using appropriate APIs or libraries.

Requirements:

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, including ES6+ syntax.
• Familiarity with Expo Dev Client mode and its development workflow.
• Experience working with APIs and libraries for hardware integration.
• Portfolio of past projects demonstrating React Native expertise and hardware integration.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Ability to write clean and maintainable code, adhering to industry best practices.
• Previous experience integrating third-party hardware, such as thermal printers, into React Native apps.
• Proficient experience in React Native development, specifically within the Expo managed workflow.
